Discovery for Youths (D4Y)
The Annual National Youth Conference (D4Y) is one of the many initiatives of the Heritage Youth Empowerment Centre (HYEC) and it remains one of its biggest initiatives.The objective of the D4Y conference is an expression of the overall HYEC vision.
D4Y is strategically organised to meet youths at a platform where they are equipped with fresh zeal to pursue their dreams against all odds through recounted stories of hope, shared by carefully selected, non-controversial role models, motivators and real influencers. The Conference is designed to bring about deep transformation to attendees that will in turn affect the society where they belong.

Life was unbearable for me after my Dad lost his job and had to relocate to the village. I was on the street for months and started hawking to survive.
I hawked all kinds of stuff and was staying with some guys I was oblivious were robbers. I was arrested and thrown into prison for a crime I didn’t commit. I was abandoned in prison for about 9 months.
Luckily, I roamed the streets aimlessly for three years then a friend invited me to Discovery for Youths and I was blown away.
I also attended The High Impact Summer Camp organized by HYEC which further transformed my life tremendously. Today I can sufficiently fend for myself, have my own accommodation and am living a good life

I have always toyed with the idea of venturing into agriculture but never made any move for lack of funds.
